Hi there!
Thank you so much for stopping by. Whether you found me through my podcast or happened to land here after a Google search—welcome. I’m really glad you’re here.
This blog is a reflection of the season I’m in right now—a season I didn’t expect, and one that’s been both challenging and beautifully eye-opening.
I’ve always been the type to stay busy and proactive. After high school, I joined the U.S. Army and served for eight years. When I got out, I went straight to nursing school and earned my BSN in 2024. Toward the end of that journey, I found out I was pregnant with our first child! Not long after, I was trying to balance new motherhood with my first job as a registered nurse in the civilian world.
Even though I loved nursing—the pace, the purpose, and the sense of helping others—I started feeling a pull to slow down. The long 12-hour shifts were taking a toll, and deep down, I knew I wanted to be home more.
It’s funny because I never really pictured myself as a mother, let alone a stay-at-home mom. But after living life at full speed for so long, I think this is my cue to slow down and focus on a different kind of growth.
I wish I could say this transition came with a step-by-step guide, but honestly, I’m figuring it out as I go. I was raised by a single mom and my grandparents, so while I have an idea of what “homemaking” might look like, it definitely doesn’t come naturally to me.
So, with a little more time on my hands and a lot of thoughts on my mind, I decided to start this blog—to document the ups, downs, lessons, and small wins along the way.
This space is for the new parents, the first-time stay-at-home moms or dads, and anyone learning to adjust to a new rhythm of life. If you’ve ever felt unsure, out of place, or in the middle of a major life transition—you’re in good company.
We’re all just figuring it out, one day at a time. 💛
